Belmont blasts car, van and lorry chassis, wheels and parts back to bare metal and can powder coat or prime them straight after. We do it for classic car restorers, hobbyists and motorsport teams at our yard near Burton upon Trent.

What we blast

  • Car and van chassis
  • Steel and alloy wheels
  • Suspension arms, subframes and axles
  • Go-kart and buggy frames
  • Bike and motorbike frames
  • Brackets, brake parts and small components
  • Trailer and horsebox chassis
  • Lorry chassis and bodies

For restorers

Blasting shows you exactly what you've got: every pit, crack and repair, with nothing hidden under filler and underseal. Then it's ready for welding and primer, or for powder coating if you want a hard-wearing finish on wheels and running gear.

Tell us if parts need protecting, such as bearing surfaces or threads, and we'll mask them before blasting.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you blast a whole car chassis?

Yes. Rolling chassis and stripped shells fit easily in our 23-metre blast unit. Strip off anything you want to keep, and tell us about any areas to mask.

Can you change the colour of my wheels?

Yes. Wheels are blasted to remove the old coating and any corrosion, then powder coated in the colour and finish you choose, from factory silver to gloss black or a bright accent colour. Tyres must be removed first.

Will blasting damage thin panels?

Thin body panels can warp under aggressive blasting, so we use the right media and pressure for sheet metal or advise on alternatives. Chassis rails, wheels and suspension parts are robust and blast well.

Do you do motorbike frames?

Yes. Frames, swingarms, wheels and small parts are blasted and can be powder coated.
